From Forecourt to City Square – Interactive Exhibition with Seating Options on Hardenbergplatz

With an innovative combination of construction site furnishings, information boards and seating, the SMART SPACE Hardenbergplatz (HAD) pilot project invites visitors to spend time at four locations between Zoologischer Garten station, Huthmacher House and the entrance to Berlin Zoo until spring 2024. Through the reusable and versatile construction site elements, the exhibition symbolises the creative and adaptable approach of the Gemeinsam Digital: Berlin strategy. In addition, the seating also serves as a prototypical test run for upcoming pop-up interventions to increase the quality of stay and use of the square. The constructive concept of the exhibition comes from an installation of the "Reallabor Radbahn" in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
